On June 12, a delegation from Vladivostok State University visited our school. President Liu Zhiqiang met with the guests, Vice president Fu Baixue presided over the working meeting, and the heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and relevant faculties participated in the relevant activities.

During the meeting, Vice President Fu Baixue firstly expressed a warm welcome to the delegation of Vladivostok State University on behalf of the school. He said that Heilongjiang Institute of Technology and Vladivostok State University have had previous contacts and cooperation, and have a better understanding of each other, which is a prerequisite and basis for further deepening cooperation between the two sides. Both universities have distinctive schooling characteristics and advantages, which is the potential and space for further deepening cooperation. I believe that both sides will be able to take the opportunity of Longjiang’s efforts to build a new highland for opening up education to the north, and open up new horizons of deepening cooperation through joint broadening of ideas and continuous efforts, with the signing of this official contract as a new starting point. Subsequently, the two sides had a warm discussion and exchanged views on educational cooperation topics of mutual interest in a cordial and friendly atmosphere around the cooperation framework, and reached a positive and pragmatic consensus.

Vladivostok State University, founded in 1967, is one of the leading universities in the Russian Federation in the field of economic and service education and research. With the main mission of training practical talents for the region and the country, the university is a member of the Sino-Russian Association of Economic Universities, also a member of the Association of Universities of Northeastern China and the Russian Far East and Siberian region, and has established the Association of Design University of the Asia-Pacific Region.

The signing of the Protocol of Intentions on Educational Cooperation and Exchanges and the conclusion of the international friendship school between the University and Vladivostok State University are aimed at promoting and supporting the teaching, scientific research and cross-cultural exchanges of teachers and students, as well as broadening the cooperation between the two sides in the fields of education, culture, sports and other areas. This is a practical action of the university to implement the action of opening up education to the north, to promote the continuous consolidation and enhancement of Sino-Russian educational exchanges and cooperation, and also a powerful initiative to give full play to the advantages of the traditional disciplines of Vladivostok State University, to embody the supporting role of the services of international exchanges and cooperation, and to help the university to declare the relevant disciplines and specialties and to build master’s degree programs.

After the meeting, the delegation also visited the school campus and the Museum of Engineering Culture.
